Auckland Airport, formerly Auckland International Airport is also known locally as Mangere Airport. It is the largest and busiest airport in New Zealand with over 13 million passengers a year. The airport is located 21km (14 miles) south of Auckland.

There are two main terminals in Auckland Airport, one for domestic flights and the other handles all international air traffic. A free shuttle bus runs between the terminals; alternatively, passengers can walk between the terminals and to walk will take approximately 10 minutes.

There are nearly 100 shops including duty free outlets located in the two terminals and a vast array of convenience and fast-food restaurants. There are also a number of options for changing currency including ATM machines and Bureau de Change facilities. Internet kiosks and mobile phone hire are also available.
Left luggage facilities are available at the Visitor Information Centre and in lockers.
